How Silynx Cables Work - One Control Box, Every Radio
The Silynx ecosystem is modular by design. The headset, the control box, and the radio cable are three separate components - connected by Quick Disconnect (QDC) on the headset side and a radio-specific connector on the radio side. When you change radios, you change the cable, not the headset or controller. This is the single biggest cost-and-logistics advantage Silynx delivers over fixed-cable competitor systems.
Frequently Asked Questions
Still looking for an answer?
What is a tactical radio cable adaptor?
A tactical radio cable adaptor is a purpose-built cable that connects a tactical headset/PTT control system to a specific radio model. The cable carries audio (RX/TX), PTT signaling, and power between the two devices, and is built to military environmental standards (MIL-STD-810, IP68).
How do I find the right cable for my radio?
Filter by the radio-family lists above (Motorola, Kenwood, Harris, etc.) and select the cable matching your specific radio model. If you don't see your radio listed, contact Silynx - we support most tactical platforms including custom configurations.
What is the Silynx Quick Disconnect (QDC)?
The Silynx QDC is the proprietary modular connector on the headset/controller side of every Silynx cable. It allows fast field swap of cables, headsets, and controllers without unscrewing or unbolting components.
Are Silynx cables compatible with non-Silynx control boxes?
Silynx cables are designed for the Silynx ecosystem (CLARUS, C4OPS, FORTIS controllers). For non-Silynx tactical comms systems, third-party cables are required.
Are Silynx cables export controlled?
Some cables (notably the C4OPS 5-Pin Cable and Peltor/Sordin Adaptor) are subject to US export controls. International orders are reviewed for compliance. Most other cables ship internationally without restriction - verify with our team.
