Law Enforcement

Chaos Demands Clarity

Silynx makes SWAT headsets, police communication systems, and covert push-to-talk (PTT) controllers used by tactical entry teams, hostage rescue units, and patrol officers in agencies worldwide. Our in-ear active hearing protection, modular PTT control, and Talking from the Ear voice technology give law enforcement officers crystal-clear comms with full situational awareness - from quiet stack stages on a hostage rescue to a live entry under flashbangs.

Silynx is built for the moment when "say again, last" is not an option.

SWAT-Grade Tactical Communications

Tactical police work has the same comms requirements as special operations: hearing protection that doesn't isolate the operator, low-profile gear under helmets and ballistic glasses, PTT control that works one-handed under stress, and equipment that survives sweat, water, dust, and impact.

The Silynx product family delivers all four in modular configurations sized for law enforcement budgets and procurement realities - from a single officer's earpiece to a full team kit-out.

Yes. We have a T&E program available to Law Enforcement Officers and Active-duty Military Personnel who would like to evaluate a system for use by their team or unit. Contact us using this form and indicate your interest in the T&E program in the message section. Please be sure to include as much information as possible about the intended usage of the system in order to best expedite your request.

Silynx PROTEGO PRO and PROTEGO STD headsets provide NRR 31 dB impulse noise protection that automatically compresses dangerous sound spikes - like flashbangs, gunfire, and breaching charges - while keeping radio comms fully active. There's no delay or cutout, so operators stay connected through the entire entry.

The CLARUS VIP COVERT system is designed for plain-clothes and protective detail use. The exposed earpiece looks like a standard civilian earphone, while the controller and radio cable are worn concealed. A wireless Keyfob PTT disguised as a car remote allows discreet transmission without drawing attention.

Yes. The Gas Mask Adaptor Cable connects your PROTEGO headset to any gas mask, SCBA, or CBRN respirator. When plugged in, the microphone automatically switches to the gas mask - enabling clear voice transmission from inside the mask without removing any equipment.

Rather than adding yet more weight, snag hazard, and another piece of the headset that can get in the way, SILYNX eliminated the external microphone that you may know as boom mics, lapel mics, and speaker mics and replaced it with a microphone about the size of a pin. That microphone is integrated into stem of the Silynx HPEDs (Hearing Protection Enhancement Devices). That stem and the microphone sits in the ear canal of the user.

No. Silynx determined early in its design cycle that bone conduction is sub-optimal in a tactical environment because of its poor voice clarity when the operator is whispering. Silynx felt that solid voice clarity when whispering was an absolute requirement in the design of its products and opted design in technology that did not rely on bone conduction. Silynx calls this TRUE VOICE technology.

The Clarus Speaker Microphone is built for patrol - a boom-mounted speaker mic with multi-directional positioning for natural head and neck posture. It connects directly to your radio with no control box required. For officers who want to add hearing protection, upgrade to the full CLARUS I system with in-ear headsets.

From a functional standpoint there is very little difference between the two. Both effectively protect your hearing and provide the pass thru of ambient sound. The primary difference is in compatibility with eyewear, size, weight, and comfort. When using eyewear with earmuffs, you reduce protective quality of the earmuff, and risk hearing damage; in-ear hearing protection was designed to ensure there is no degradation of hearing protection when using eyewear. Bulky earmuffs take up considerably more space than in-ear headsets. Bulky earmuffs are considerably heavier than in-ear headsets. Bulky earmuffs tend to be uncomfortable, while in-ear headsets provide all day comfort.

Yes. Silynx offers dedicated cable adaptors for Motorola APX, Kenwood multi-pin, Harris XG-75, and Hytera PD7 radios. Simply swap the cable adaptor to match your department's radio - the headset and control box stay the same.

Yes. All Silynx in-ear headsets fit comfortably under any ballistic helmet without interference. Unlike over-ear muffs, they don't create pressure points or break the helmet seal. The FALCON and HSI single-side headsets also include helmet mounting adapters for boom mic positioning.
