PROTEGO SNG
The Protego Single Side Headset is a single-sided tactical in-ear headset that offers lightweight, low-profile sound protection with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30 dB.
It is designed to be worn in the left ear in combination with a passive earplug in the right ear. The earbud provides full acoustic occlusion to ensure clear and intelligible incoming audio, while an integrated microphone within the earbud enables ambient sounds to pass through, maintaining full situational awareness.
The single-sided configuration incorporates Silynx's proprietary in-ear "Talking from the Ear" microphone technology, which captures the user's inner auditory echo to transmit natural voice audio without the need for a separate lapel or boom microphone.
The PROTEGO SNG is fully compatible with all Silynx modular systems and the Quick Disconnect Connector (QDC).

How Silynx Cables Work — One Control Box, Every Radio
The Silynx ecosystem is modular by design. The headset, the control box, and the radio cable are three separate components — connected by Quick Disconnect (QDC) on the headset side and a radio-specific connector on the radio side. When you change radios, you change the cable, not the headset or controller. This is the single biggest cost-and-logistics advantage Silynx delivers over fixed-cable competitor systems.

What NRR rating do Silynx in-ear headsets provide?
Silynx PROTEGO PRO in-ear headsets deliver NRR 31 dB — the highest available in an in-ear tactical headset. provide both passive noise isolation from precision-molded ear tips and active impulse-noise compression.
What's the difference between PROTEGO PRO, STD, SNG, and MLD?
PROTEGO PRO is the flagship dual-ear headset with NRR 31 dB and TRUE VOICE in-ear microphone. PROTEGO STD is the standard dual-ear option. PROTEGO SNG is a single-ear variant for situational awareness on the unprotected side. PROTEGO MLD is a molded custom-fit option. All connect to any Silynx control box via Quick Disconnect.
Can I wear Silynx in-ear headsets with helmets and glasses?
Yes. Silynx in-ear headsets sit entirely inside the ear canal — zero interference with helmets, ballistic eyewear, gas masks, or riot visors. Unlike over-ear earmuffs, there's no seal break from glasses temples.
How long can I wear Silynx in-ear headsets comfortably?
All day. Each system ships with 6 size options (3 ear tip sizes × 2 lens sizes). An 8-hour comparative comfort trial by a European federal police force confirmed Silynx was the only system users agreed to wear continuously without removal.
Do the in-ear headsets include a microphone?
Yes. Silynx In-Ear headsets include TRUE VOICE in-ear microphone technology — a pin-sized mic integrated into the earbud stem that captures natural speech directly from the ear canal. No boom mic, no lapel mic, no external hardware.
Are Silynx in-ear headsets waterproof?
Yes. All Silynx in-ear headsets are rated IP68 — fully dust-tight and waterproof. Immersion ratings range from 1 meter to 20 meters depending on the cable configuration.
What control box do I need with these headsets?
Silynx in-ear headsets connect to any Silynx control box via Quick Disconnect: CLARUS I for dual-radio, CLARUS II for triple-radio, FORTIS for quad-network, or Clarus Pro X for standalone hearing protection without radio.
